KeyDuino Powered LED PC Case Empty
PostSubject: KeyDuino Powered LED PC Case   KeyDuino Powered LED PC Case EmptyTue 13 Sep - 1:03

I'm building a PC case and I want to use the KeyDuinos NFC powers to control the LED's

Ive seen this: https://keyduino.forumsactifs.com/t7-nfc-infinity-table

But It doesn't show me exactly how I need to set up the code part.

I'm also a little confused as to how I'm supposed to use the Keyduino. Do I need another board? Or just the Keyduino? All Help is Appreciated.

Hey !

You just need these components :
- a KeyDuino (https://www.elecrow.com/keyduino-p-1620.html)
- a RGB WS2812 LED strip (https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1m-4m-5m-WS2812B-Smart-led-pixel-strip-Black-White-PCB-30-60-144-leds-m/32351194166.html)

For the supply, if you want to use more than 8 LEDs (~500mA at full power, too much for the KeyDuino & basics USB), you will need an external power 5v supply  like this one and follow the wiring at 1:52 & 2:20 from the video.
Maybe you can found directly on the computer a 5V supply that can delivery more current than an USB and use it instead of an external supply Wink

Bye,
Pierre

Alright. What about the coding? What all do I need to load onto the Keyduino (I've never worked with Arduino before) so I don't know what to do there.

So to use the keyduino, you will need to install the library
I made a tutorial for that (in french): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFksSNrhAjw
Just follow the instruction from 0:40 to 2:00 for that. Keep me intouch if you have any problem.
Then you will need to install fastled library (used to control the leds): https://github.com/FastLED/FastLED

Now you are ready, you can use the exemples of fast led if you want to try Wink
